Have you ever been to New York City during the holiday season? If you haven’t, you should definitely visit and see the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. This isn’t just a normal Christmas tree, this tree is 82 feet tall, decorated with over 50,000 lights! The first Christmas tree that was put in Rockefeller Center was in 1931, almost 100 years ago! The first christmas tree was 20 feet tall which is a lot smaller than the current Rockefeller Center Christmas tree. The tree comes from a different location every year, however, this year the tree came from Queensbury, New York. The star on the top of the tree is a Swarvorski crystal, which weighs 900 pounds! The Rockefeller Christmas tree is something that all New Yorkers and even people from around the world wait for every year! The tree has been around during the holiday season every year since 1931, and I am hoping this tradition will continue! Happy Holidays!
