The Italian Club’s annual field trip to New York City took place on Friday, December 6th. The Italian Club visited Little Italy, Manhattan. Students attended this field trip with chaperones Mrs. Vasselman and Mr. Gadamowitz. When the Italian Club first arrived in Little Italy, they visited the Italian American Museum. They took a guided tour of the museum and of Little Italy. While inside the museum, they observed the historic Sicilian puppets and listened to a lesson about the exhibit. Subsequently, the group had a walking tour, which was an outdoor exploration of the area’s history, shops, and architecture. Following the tour, the students then enjoyed some desserts and drinks at a popular dessert shop located nearby. After this, the group walked to La Mela. La Mela is an Italian restaurant in Little Italy. I am very happy that I was able to attend this field trip. I got to experience a fun and educational trip with my friends and classmates!
